Microsoft .NET offers a powerful library namespace (Windows.System.Automation) that can be used to automate nearly any function a human can perform on a PC. This capability allows us to impress many clients who have sensitive or expensive (time) operations. .NET solutions can live as stand alone applications (desktop or service) and embedded in SSIS package scripts. We combine this automation with database logging and notifications so business users know if the automation was successful or failed (and at what level).
